NCC cadets scale Mt. Everest

NEW DELHI: The National Cadet Corps made history on Thursday when its cadet Tsering Ladol and ex-cadet Captain Ashwini Pawar successfully scaled the world's highest peak, Mt. Everest, as part of the Indian Army Women's Everest Expedition 2005.

Complimenting the two climbers for bringing name, fame and laurels to the NCC fraternity, its Director-General, Lieutenant-General M.C. Bhandari, announced that a special function would be organised in Delhi soon to felicitate the duo.

The expedition team consisting of 18 members.
