JAIPUR: Two women passengers travelling on the Mumbai-bound holiday special train were robbed of their belongings when the train stopped at a signal near Gangapur City in Sawai Madhopur district on Tuesday night. According to prelimnary investigation the robbers were lurking near the outer signal at Philoda station near Gangapur City and looted the two women passengers travelling in one of the coach of the train and, ACP railway police Lalith Maheswari told PTI. In his statment, the guard said the train was pulled to halt at the signal when the robbers waiting outside looted the passengers. An FIR has been filed in the Gangapur police station but no arrests has been made as yet, Maheswari said. However, passengers of the train said that the robbers were travelling and pulled the chain to stopp the train. They looted the passengers of their gold chains and purses. This is the second incident of train robbery on the Delhi-Mumbai route in a month. Robbers had looted the passengers of the Howrah Express on this route in May, but police had nabbed the culprits.
