VIJAYAWADA: In two separate incidents, 16 persons, including 12 commuters of two private buses, were injured on the city outskirts on Thursday morning. According to the police, a Bhimavaram-bound private, bus coming from Hyderabad, rammed into a pan shop and part of a house at Lorry-shed Centre near Bhavanipuram. A resident of Bhavanipuram, Ramisetti Krishna, the bus cleaner, Ramakrishna, and 12 passengers were injured. A case was registered against the driver, Srinivasa Rao. In another incident, a woman and the cleaner of a private bus were injured when the speeding bus hit a lorry near Ketanikonda centre. The Ibrahimpatnam police registered a case.
