NEW DELHI: The Delhi police have alerted their Punjab counterparts about the threat to the lives of three religious leaders from Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). During interrogation, Balwinder Singh, one of the accused in the twin cinema hall blasts case here recently, allegedly revealed that Jaspal aka Raja, the mastermind behind the incident, had plans to target three religious leaders. The police suspect that BKI wanted to eliminate the religious leaders probably to foment discord among various sects of the religion. The Delhi police have also written about the recovery of a Punjab police head constable's uniform from Raja's Inderpuri hideout. While Raja is still at large, his accomplice, Balwinder, allegedly disclosed that he carried a diary consisting the contact numbers of BKI militants active in the country. Balwinder also purportedly disclosed to the police that Raja had on several occasions visited Nepal. The police plan to question his other friends to know more about his activities.
