NEW DELHI: A 60-year-old woman was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property, while three young men were arrested for allegedly committing burglaries at Keshav Puram in North-West Delhi on Wednesday. Stolen articles like ceiling fan, buckets and iron rings were recovered from them.On Tuesday and Wednesday, the police received complaints about burglaries in the factories located on Lawrence Road, from where dye, bags containing PVC powder, copper wires and a ceiling fan had been stolen. Later on Wednesday, the police spotted an old woman trying to dispose of PVC powders that she had stocked in her jhuggi. Subsequently, policemen in plainclothes were deployed near her jhuggi. They spotted three young men entering the jhuggi. Suspecting that they were involved in the burglaries, the police picked them up soon after they emerged from the jhuggi. They were identified as Raju, Gulab Singh and Chander Shekher. During interrogation, they confessed to their involvement. At their instance, the police recovered the stolen items and also mounted a raid at Parwati's residence, from where they recovered the bags containing PVC powder.
