Applications have been invited by the district coordinator of Kerala State Information Technology Mission to start Akshaya e-centres in 137 places. The project, which is to be implemented in seven districts, including Kasaragod, in the first phase, envisages providing Information Technology (IT) education to at least one member of each family as part of the Government's e-literacy programme. The entrepreneur selected will invest money to set up the e-kendra. The eligibility for entrepreneurs aspiring to set up an E-Centre is a pass in Plus Two or pre-degree.
