VELLORE: "Cyclic tests conducted everyday and the special examinations every week in our school put me in a continuous study mode, enabling me to score high marks in the public examinations," said N. Aarthi of the Shrishti Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Brammapuram near Vellore. She obtained 1,059 out of 1,100, securing the second rank at the State-level in the standard X matriculation public examination. Ms. Aarthi, the second daughter of V. Narasimhamoorthy, auditor and N.Kala, supervisor, BSNL, Vellore, says she was in the habit of revising lessons taught in class at home the same day. "Equal credit should got to my parents, school correspondent, principal and teachers for motivating me," said Aarthi who desires to take the Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology group in the Plus-Two. She obtained 200/200 in mathematics, 298/300 in science, 187/200 in history and geography, 190/200 in Tamil and 184/200 in English. Jessie Daniel obtained the State first rank in English with 192/200 marks and scored a total of 1,039 marks. While N. Aarthi was the school's first rank-holder in the aggregate, Abhinaya Jawahar (1,046) and S. Pragadeeswaran (1,045) came second and third respectively.
