NIZAMABAD: The Viplava Rachayitala Sangham (Virasam) leader, Chalasani Prasad Rao, on Saturday said that the two CPI (Maoist) leaders and four Virasam members who were arrested and remanded be provided with necessary facilities in jail by recognising them as political prisoners. Speaking to reporters at the district prison, Mr. Rao came here to see the CPI(Maoist) leaders, G. Prasadam and Y. Surender, and the Virasam members -- N. Venugopal, V. Chenchaiah, G. Pinakapani and S. Ravi Kumar -- said they were arrested as part of State repression on poets and writers.
