KOCHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed charge sheets against six persons in a case connected with the Telgi stamp paper scam. The charge sheet was filed before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. The following are those who have been charged: M. K. Bhageerathan and K. Feroz alias Bapu, Mohammed Ali, and Shameer, all hailing from Palakkad, N. K. Prasad of Thrissur and Ramanujam of Coimbatore. The charge sheet was filed by A. J. Ramalingam, Inspector, Central Bureau of Investigation, Economic Offence, Chennai. According to the CBI, this case was one among the 48 it took over from various States in connection with the Telgi scandal. The CBI also said in the charge sheet that it was the only case that had been taken over by it in Kerala.
