BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Babulal Gaur, said on Tuesday that Mohammad Ali Jinnah was not secular as he had propounded the two-nation theory on the basis of religion and was responsible for the Partition. Mr. Gaur told The Hindu that since he was neither aware of the context nor had he seen the actual text of Mr. Advani's "diplomatic" statement in Pakistan describing Jinnah as secular, it would not be possible for him to comment. However, he said Jinnah was never secular as apart from propounding the two-nation theory that led to the Partition, he was responsible for the massacre and displacement of a huge population that followed.
