LONDON: In order to ensure a better show at Montreal, its happy hunting ground, on Sunday, Jordan has sent Narain Karthikeyan and Tiago Monteiro to the Canadian wilderness to ``toughen up.' ``They both need to forget about their F-1 lifestyle,'' team trainer Gerard Gray said. The Jordan duo would undergo a rigorous six-hours-a-day programme of hiking and biking, resistance work and speed sessions at picturesque Lake Sacacomie, he informed. ``One of the key components in a professional athlete's life is discipline, committing yourself to do whatever is necessary to be able to give your very best at every competitive outing. They both need to forget about their Formula One lifestyle at the moment and toughen up both physically and mentally. ``At the very least the presence of bears should focus their minds on the workouts,'' he said. ``It's always great to exercise in such an environment. The mind and body really benefits from the fresh air and challenging conditions. Lake Sacacomie is a terrific place for escaping the F-1 bandwagon and getting back to basics of training right and eating properly,'' Gray said. The Gilles Villeneuve Circuit of the Canadian Grand Prix has been lucky for Jordan, as it scored its first Formula One World championship points on debut in 1991. Jordan grabbed the fourth and fifth places then and in 1995, Rubens Barrichello and Eddie Irvine finished second and third. Jordan subsequently had eight more top-10 finishes in Canada including Giancarlo Fisichella's third place in 1997. Narain, meanwhile, remains apprehensive about the track, which is alien to him. UNI
