Chennai: "Till it is signed, it would be better not to speculate," said BCCI secretary S.K. Nair when asked about the terms of new Indian coach Greg Chappell's contract with the Board. "He will be paid more or less what his predecessor John Wright received (Wright took home $1,75,000 per annum)," Mr. Nair told The Hindu from New Delhi. On issues like Chappell's allowances, his commitment with the media, and him being allowed a share of the logo money, a final agreement would be reached only after he arrived in Bangalore on June 15, Mr. Nair said. The BCCI Secretary said the Board had sought clarifications regarding the roles of biomechanist Ian Frazer, and Charles Krebs, who specialises in kinesiology, from Chappell, who had recommended them to be a part of the Indian support staff. Kinesiology is a study of movements of a sportsperson's body and his equipment. The BCCI planned to have a media manager and its own web-site soon, Mr. Nair said. Special Correspondent
