THRISSUR: The police have intensified the search for the person who stabbed Dhanya, 20, a student of the Avanasi Maharaja's Engineering College, in the women's compartment of the Mangalore-bound West Coast Express on Tuesday night, Mohammed Salim, Shoranur Railway station house officer, has said. The railway police said that a person had attacked Dhanya and her mother around midnight as the train was running between Palakkad and Shoranur. Dhanya was stabbed in the arm when she resisted his robbery attempt. The gold chains worn by Dhanya and her mother were robbed. The incident was reported to the Railway police when the train reached Shoranur. Dhanya was admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Thrissur and, later, shifted to the Aswini Hospital.
