Rupee rallies further

MUMBAI: The rupee hit at a 10-day closing high of Rs. 43.54/55 a dollar, as the recent rally gathered further momentum on steady trade and foreign fund inflows amid a retreating dollar overseas in mostly quiet and thin trade at the interbank foreign exchange market.

Opening around Rs. 43.54/55 a dollar, the rupee was confined to a tight band of Rs. 43.53 and Rs. 43.55 a dollar in mostly muted business, before ending around morning levels. — PTI
