Five houses destroyed in group clash

NELLORE:
In a clash between two groups in Naidupalem village of Venkatachalasatram mandal on Monday night, five houses were destroyed and one person was injured.
The root of the trouble was traced to the Sri Ramanavami celebrations when there was a row between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Congress over the conduct of `record dances,' which resulted in injuries to more than 11 persons. Since then, there was simmering discontent among both groups, resulting in panic among the villagers.
