No more sale of temple lands: court

HYDERABAD:
A Division Bench of Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday declared that there would be no more sale of temple lands in the State till further orders.
These interim orders were passed by the Bench comprising the acting Chief Justice Bilal Nazki, and Justice G. Chandraiah in response to a writ petition filed challenging the provisions of A.P. Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act 1987. Prabhakaracharyulu, secretary Vaikhanasa Peetham, and Giriyadav, State president of Praja Party, filed the petition.
