ADILABAD: Two persons were suffocated to death in an open well on Tuesday at Kagaznagar town, one of them while trying to save the life of the other. According to information reaching here, Gotta Sattaiah, 55, a labourer, was hired by S. Sadanandam to desilt his dried up well. After some time, Sattaiah collapsed due to suffocation. The owner of the houseyelled for help. A passer-by, Murugesan Ramesh, 50, tried to save Sattaiah but he too fell unconscious. Ramesh died on the way to hospital. Staff Reporter in Karimnagar writes: A labourer, D. Anjaiah, 25, died of suffocation due to release of poisonous gases from a drinking water well.
