KARIMNAGAR: : The Collector, C. Parthasarathi, flagged off the Army recruitment rally being organised under the aegis of headquarters recruiting zone, Chennai and conducted by the branch recruiting office, Secunderabad to enrol candidates in the armed forces at the Ambedkar sports stadium in Karimnagar town on Tuesday. The recruitment would be held till June 14 and the candidates from Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Warangal, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar and Kurnool districts would be participating in the selections. The district administration had made elaborate arrangements for the candidates appearing in the recruitment rally. The town-based Vivekananda Vidyanikethan High School in Bagathnagar had provided accommodation for candidates from other places of the region. In order to ensure that the maximum number of local youth got enrolled into the Army, the district administration had provided pre-army recruitment training to about 550 youth. The Collector said that the youth had a bright future in the Armed forces. He also called upon the candidates not to get demoralised for not being selected into the Army and advised them to lead a disciplined life in the society and opt for other opportunities in the private sector as security guards and in other trades.
