CHENNAI: Instead of spending an evening at a drama or a concert, invest it on yourself by attending a talk on `Self-Development', suggests Vijay Bargotra a trustee of Macgrath Institute of Leadership Training (MILT). Aporesh Acharya, who will be delivering a "power talk" believes his three-hour speech would help people get started on transcending mediocrity and becoming special. "What I talk is not philosophy. It is behavioural science. Everyone from Carl Jung to Erich From has been saying that most human beings are under-utilised. What I want to do in my talk is try and open up the possibilities for the people listening to me," says Mr. Acharya. According to the organisers, the funds generated from this lecture go to the social projects of MILT, which runs seven homes for destitute in Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Collate. MILT also runs a residential school for 70 children." I have no interest in hogging the limelight for myself. What I want to say is that these funds go to a charitable cause," he says. The lecture will be held at Kamaraj Hall on June 11. Donor passes are Rs. 200, Rs. 300, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000. Contact 94440-47300/94440-25674
