HYDERABAD: The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has reportedly asked his Cabinet colleagues to leave no scope for wrongdoing at any level, exercise due care in dealing with each and every file and refer all important issues to the Cabinet, instead of taking decisions independently. At an informal interaction with some of the Ministers here on Tuesday, held in the backdrop of the charges on regularisation of certain temple lands, Dr. Reddy was believed to have come up with a set of guidelines, virtually a list of do's and don'ts to be followed in their day-to-day functioning, sources said. While encouraging efficient and good officers, he wanted them to be cautious about attempts to mislead them. If caution was not shown, it could land the entire Government in embarrassment. They should guard against elements attempting to take advantage of situations and to tarnish the image of the Government, he advised. Simultaneously, all Ministers should strive to gain complete grasp on subjects under their control . Dr. Reddy plans to hold similar sessions with groups of Ministers in the next few days, as part of his Government's effort to tone-up the functioning of the Cabinet and infuse greater degree of efficiency in the overall delivery mechanism. He wanted the Ministers to take special care in dealing with files and evolve a mechanism to record every file.
