Cheating case

against ICFAI

The Panjagutta police booked a cheating case against the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), Hyderabad Chapter, following a complaint by six students of law course. They charged that the Institute had collected Rs. 75,000 per head for a five-year law course two years ago. But, recently they learnt that the course was not recognised by the Bar Council of India.

Youth fires into

air in pub

A youngster allegedly opened fire into the air with a short weapon following an argument with the disc jockey at Easy Rider pub in Panjagutta on Sunday night. According to the Panjagutta SI, Prabhu, a customer in his early twenties picked up an argument with the DJ in an inebriated condition. He soon returned with a friend who was wielding a revolver. The SI said the accused were yet to be identified.

Two die in mishap

A 65-year-old woman, Suman Bai and her granddaughter, Rani Bai, 11, died and six others sustained injuries when the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in keeled over at Tadbun crossroads in Bahadurpura on Monday night. All were natives of Bidar in Karnataka.
