HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court has declined to stop the distribution of `fish medicine' for asthma patients by the Bathini brothers. It, however, directed the Government to collect samples and inform the public through posters, banners and the media that there is no curative substance in the medicine. The Jana Vignana Vedika, represented by Ramesh, filed the writ petition seeking a direction to collect the samples of the `medicine' and send them to a renowned laboratory for testing. It also sought steps to see that people were not administered hazardous substances in the name of `medicine'. The Bench, comprising the acting Chief Justice, Bilal Nazki, and Justice G. Chandraiah, directed Bathini Harinath Goud to respond to the allegations and directed the authorities to collect and preserve 10 samples, which would be sent for a laboratory test at a later date.
