Re-training programme

A stipendiary re-training programme for the benefit of the employees of Central public sector undertakings who have opted for voluntary retirement will be organised by the Employee Assistance Cell of the NISIET under the Union Ministry of Small-Scale Industries. Those interested can register their names with Venkateswara Rao, Employees Assistance Cell, NISIET, Kodandam Complex, Muralinagar, (Tel: 94405-57724).

Notebooks on sale

Lepakshi Nandi exercise notebooks will be sold at the Lepakshi Handicrafts Emporium at Jagadamba junction from Wednesday. According to the manager of the emporium, K. Srihari, 10 per cent discount would be given on the MRP. Bulk purchases of Rs.10,000 and above would be given 12 per cent discount.

Elected

A.H.N. Venkata Rao was unanimously elected regional director of Y's Men International for Central India for 2006-07, at its recent regional convention.

Soil available

Citizens who need soil for filling works can take it from the dried up Mudasarlova reservoir. Details can be had from the Executive Engineer (Water Supply) of the Municipal Corporation.
