HYDERABAD: Two MLAs from Adilabad district--A. Govind Naik (Khanapur), and Soyam Bapu Rao (Boath)--on Wednesday have complained of `gross injustice' to Scheduled Tribes students in medical counselling. In individual letters to the Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the MLAs recalled that in the counselling for post-graduate medical courses conducted between May 28 and June 3, reserved category students could not got seats of their choice. Mr. Govind Naik said the absence of a Roster Point System according to Government Order No. 167, had badly affected students in the ST category and said they might not get disciplines like radiodiagnosis, psychiatry and dermatology. Thanks to the G.O., students in the said category were not left with multiple options and were `forced' to choose fixed seats.
