SANGAREDDY: The Minister for Tourism and Sugar, J. Geetha Reddy, has announced that 12 wayside amenity complexes would be built in different parts of the State at a cost of Rs. 6 crores. She announced this at Pragnapur near Gajwel on Thursday after laying the foundation for a motel on Rajiv Rahadari. The 11 other motels would be built at a cost of Rs. 50 lakhs each at Tekkali, Anakapalle, Amalapuram, Suryapet, Malyal (Mahbubnagar), Kamareddy, Indravelli, Kadapa, Kuntala (Neredguda), Singarayakonda and Gooty. These complexes will offer facilities like restaurants, rest rooms, and playpen for children, ample parking space, and phone booths. Addressing the gathering the Minister said the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department is also planning to build luxury hotels in all district headquarters and a master plan has been already prepared.
