NEW DELHI: A court here has sentenced the husband, the father-in-law and the mother-in-law of a woman to rigorous imprisonment for seven years for driving her to commit suicide by constantly harassing her with dowry demands. Additional Sessions Judge Lal Singh found Anil, Pratap Singh and Usha guilty of subjecting Sita Devi to cruelty and harassment. Sita Devi tied the knot with Anil on January 29, 2003 and since the marriage she was being harassed by them. On March 13, 2004 she committed suicide.
