Sudarshan meets Singhal

JAIPUR: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief K.S. Sudarshan met Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Ashok Singhal on Wednesday. The meeting comes in the wake of BJP president L.K. Advani's resignation from the party post.

The meeting lasted about 40 minutes after which the two leaders declined to talk to the media. The meeting assumes significance in the light of the VHP's attack on Mr. Advani for his positive reappraisal of M.A. Jinnah and expression of regret over the Babri Masjid demolition during his visit to Pakistan last week.

The RSS is said to have asked the VHP to exercise restraint in reacting to the remarks. — PTI
