Bangalore Electricity Supply Company has said that because of maintenance works, there will be no power supply from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday in the following areas: Ramarao Layout, Kaverinagar, Kempegowda Layout, Poornapragna Layout, Siddivinayaka Layout, Byrappa Garden and Banashankari 3rd Stage.

Book on Vaastu

The Governor, T.N. Chaturvedi, on Wednesday released a book on Vaastu Shastra at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan here. Written by Vaastu expert, Niranjan Babu, "Vaastu Shastrada Kaipidi", is the Kannada version of his earlier publication, "The hand book of Vaastu Shastra". Mathoor Krishnamurthi, Director, Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, spoke.

Course not approved,

says varsity

The M.Sc Apparel Technology and Management course being advertised by the management of Garden City College, 16th Main, Old Madras Road, Virgonagar, has not been approved by Bangalore University, said the Deputy Registrar of Bangalore University on Wednesday.

The deputy registrar has advised students not to seek admission for 2005-2006. "The university will not approve admission of students to the course and will not be responsible for any inconvenience caused to the students by the college," he added.
