CPI(M)-League clash

THRISSUR: Seven persons were injured in clashes between activists of the CPI(M) and the Indian Union Muslim League in the Anchangadi area near Chavakkad late Wednesday night.

According to the police, three of the injured were CPI(M) men and four Muslim League workers. The police have registered cases against 55 persons in connection with the clashes and arrested 13 persons. Among the arrested, seven were from the CPI(M) and six were from the Muslim League.
