Canara Bank beats ASC
BANGALORE:
Ronald Kiran's fine effort in the 58th minute sealed Canara Bank's 2-1 triumph over Army Services Corps in the Deccan Herald- KSHA super league hockey championship here on Wednesday.
John Verghese put the Bankmen ahead, slamming home a hard drive off a pass from Appan in the 38th minute, but ASC equalised through Feroze in the 51st minute.
It was Kiran's essay off an indirect penalty hit (fifth for Canara Bank) which clinched the issue for the Bankmen and earned them full points.
