BEML (Mysore) triumphs

Mysore: In a closely contested encounter, Bharat Earth Movers Limited, Mysore, secured the vital first innings lead over Mysore University Colleges Sports Council (MUCSC) and clinched the title in the two-day final of the Sri Gopalaswami Memorial tournament at the Gangotri Glades grounds here on Thursday. MUCSC conceded the match after BEML (Mysore) secured the first innings lead.

The scores: MUCSC 244 in 75.2 overs (Sunil Kumar Jain 87, H.R. Cheluvaraj 85, C.G. Jagadish Kumar four for 47) lost to BEML (Mysore) 248 for nine in 105 overs (Deepak Srinivasan 70, S. Dhananjaya four for 72). (MUCSC conceded the match)
