KOTTAYAM: Two members of a marriage party were killed when the jeep they were travelling in collided with a bus at Punnathura, near Ettumanur, on Thursday morning. Eleven persons who were injured in the accident have been admitted to the Kottayam Government Medical College. According to Medical College authorities, the condition of one person is serious. The deceased were identified as Rajesh Lal, 26, driver of the jeep, and Devaraj, 48. Both hail from Kottamala, near Vagamon, and were neighbours of the bride. According to the police, the marriage party was coming from Kottamala estate to Kallara in three jeeps. Following the accident, only the vehicle carrying the bride moved to Kallara. The Ettumanur- Pala road where the accident occurred, was officially opened to traffic on Wednesday.
