Rupee declines
MUMBAI HALTING:
a five session smart rally that took it to near three-week high, the rupee declined on renewed dollar demand, adjusting to a downward correction following a surprise dollar rally overseas, mainly against the euro at the inter-bank foreign exchange market on Thursday.
The rupee closed at 43.5200/5250 a dollar, a three paise fall from Wednesday's finish of 43.49/50 after it was confined to a tight range of 43.5250 and 43.5550 in mostly dull trade.
