CHAMARAJANAGAR: The President of the Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha, Vatal Nagaraj, has demanded that the Centre bring out a White Paper on the release of funds for new railway projects in various States. Mr. Vatal Nagaraj and his party members staged a rail roko at the railway station here on Thursday against what they termed the discriminatory attitude of the Centre in sanctioning more railway projects to the State. The Chamarajanagar-Mysore train was stopped for 10 minutes. Mr. Vatal Nagaraj told presspersons that the Railway Ministry is yet to commence work on the Chamarajanagar-Mettupalyam railway project. He will launch an agitation throughout the State if the Ministry "fails" to commence work on the pending projects in the state, he added.
