SANGAREDDY: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti Medak unit president, Radhakrishna Deshpande, on Thursday predicted a clean sweep for the Congress-TRS combine in the forthcoming Municipal elections. Addressing a press conference in Siddipet, Mr. Deshpande pointed out that if there were a triangle fight, the TRS would be the clear winner as there is a strong Telangana wave existing in the district. Giving reasons, he said that except Medak, other four municipalities come under the Assembly constituencies represented by TRS legislators. He said people have appreciated the revolutionary reforms initiated by the State Government and would once again vote for the same combination. He said clearances for the widening of National Highway nine between BHEL-Sangareddy - Zaheerabad would not have been obtained but for the active lobbying of Union Minister of State for Rural Development, A. Narendra.
