CHENNAI: : Southern Railway will operate special trains to Nagercoil, Tuticorin, Madurai and Palakkad from Chennai.

The Madurai-Chennai Egmore-Madurai special train will leave at 6.30 p.m. on June 16, 23 and 26 and reach Egmore at 4.30 a.m. the next day. It will leave at 11 p.m. on June 17, 24 and 27 and reach Madurai at 8.45 a.m. the next day. The Egmore-Tuticorin-Egmore special will leave at 7 p.m. on June 16 and reach Tuticorin at 8 a.m. the next day. It will leave at 8.30 p.m. on June 17 and arrive here at 9.30 a.m. the next day. The Tirunelveli-Egmore special will leave at 8.30 p.m. on June 22 and reach Egmore at 9.30 a.m. the next day.

The Egmore-Nagercoil-Egmore special will leave at 8.30 p.m. on June 23 and 26 and reach Nagercoil at 12.30 p.m. the next day. It will leave at 1.30 p.m. on June 24 and 27 and reach Egmore at 4.30 a.m. the next day. The Chennai Central-Palakkad special will leave at 9.15 p.m. on June 23 and reach Palakkad at 8.15 a.m. the next day.

For Sani Peyarchchi, the following trains will be operated: the Palakkad-Kumbakonam-Palakkad special will leave at 6.30 p.m. on June 25 and reach Kumbakonam at 4 a.m. the next day. It will leave Kumbakonam at 11 p.m. on June 26 and reach Palakkad at 8.45 a.m. the next day. The Egmore-Kumbakonam-Egmore special will leave at 7 p.m. on June 25 and reach Kumbakonam at 4.30 a.m. the next day. It will leave at 9.30 p.m. on June 26 and reach here at 7.30 a.m. the next day. Reservation will begin on June 11, says a release.
