Minister irked at TDP's demand for his ouster
Staff Reporter
KARIMNAGAR:
Reiterating that he had been leading a spotless political life in the last 51 years, the Minister for Endowments, M. Satyanarayana Rao, on Saturday said he was ready to sacrifice his life if found guilty in the temple land scandal.
Taking exception to the Telugu Desam Party president and former Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, demanding his dismissal from the Minister's post, he said: "Let them hang me if they can prove my role in the temple land scandal." Mr. Rao indirectly threatened that he might take a hasty decision within two to three days.
Addressing a Congress party workers' meeting organised on the occasion of the new District Congress Committee president, T. Santosh Kumar, assuming charge, the Minister said: "I do not know what to do with this mental agony. I am unable to tolerate it anymore,"
