PONDICHERRY: Chief Minister N. Rangasamy on Friday announced the appointment of all the 109 persons, who had applied for government jobs on compassionate grounds, as daily casual labourers in the Public Works Department. The applications had been pending for more than a decade and now posts had been created in the PWD to absorb all the applicants, a release said. — Special Correspondent
