HYDERABAD: After hours of deliberations among themselves, representatives of four unions in the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the APSRTC decided on Saturday to announce the date of their strike if the conciliatory talks with the Labour Commissioner on June 13 failed. The JAC comprises the APSRTC Transport Mazdoor Sangh (TMS), National Mazdoor Union, Employees' Union and Staff and Workers Federation, which were represented by M. Nageswara Rao, Syed Mahmood, B. Rama Rao and Murthy respectively. The JAC has given what it described as a final notice for going on an indefinite strike if the Government did not accede to their demands. Of the 18 demands listed by the JAC, 15 issues have to be dealt with and solved by the Government only. It may be recalled the Labour Commissioner, Rani Kumudini, has called only representatives of the management and trade unions and not the Government for conciliatory talks on June 13. But, the trade unions want the participation of the Government's representative as 15 of the 18 demands need the attention of the Government.
