NIZAMABAD: The CPI (Maoist) State executive committee member, Ganti Prasadam, and the former district committee secretary, Yamasani Surender, were shifted from here to an unknown place in Hyderabad for further interrogation on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, the Revolutionary Writers' Association member, Nellutla Venugopal, was sent back to the judicial remand in the district prison here last night.
Six in custody
It may be recalled that out of the six persons -- two CPI (Maoist) leaders and four RWA members who were arrested by the police recently -- Prasadam, Surender and Venugopal were taken into a four-day custody by the One Town police with the permission of the court on June 9 morning for further interrogation. The remaining three -- G. Pinakapani, V. Chenchaiah and S. Ravi have been in the prison since they had been remanded to the 14-day judicial custody by the First Class Judicial Magistrate court in Bodhan on June 3. According to the defence counsel, G. Madhava Rao, the two Maoist leaders were shifted to Hyderabad, but the police did not disclose the place where they were being taken to.
