Journalist killing condemned
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD:
The Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) on Saturday condemned the killing of a vernacular daily correspondent, Bhooma Goud, at Karimnagar on Friday night.
Its general secretary, G. Anjaneyulu, in a statement here termed the killing by suspected Janashakti naxalites `barbaric' and `inhuman.' Police sources said two motorcycle-borne naxalites chased him from Karimnagar town locality and shot him from a close range pumping four rounds of bullets into his body when he was nearing his house.
The victim reportedly had a dispute with naxalites over a private school affair.
