WALK FOR THE ENVIRONMENT: The management and staff of ITC Hotel Park Sheraton and Towers surprise early morning walkers on the Marina Beach on Friday with pamphlets on water conservation as part of an environment awareness drive.
CHENNAI: They walked for a cause. The management and staff of the ITC Hotel Park Sheraton and Towers took an early morning stroll along the Marina beach on Friday and surprised morning walkers by distributing pamphlets on water conservation. It featured slogans such as "Water saved is Power saved" and "Please use water with care." Green was also the theme for the past week at the GRT Grand starting June 5. Fifty students from the Kesari High School, who were invited to the hotel, learnt from social activist Pasupathy the importance of having unpolluted surroundings. The staff distributed writing tablets made of handmade paper to guests and distributed vouchers for free fuel emission tests. A new organic food menu and planting of saplings were the other highlights.
