"It's like saying Ravana is symbol of goodness"

NEW DELHI: In a scathing attack in the wake of BJP president L.K. Advani's praise of Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on Saturday said describing the Pakistan founder as secular was like saying Ravana was the symbol of goodness.

A lead article in the latest issue penned by its Editor, the RSS mouthpiece Organiser, without naming Mr. Advani, termed the controversy "unnecessary." "It also shows how far the BJP has travelled, away from its moorings. Politicians cannot survive refusing to appreciate the sentiments of their core constituency." — PTI
