Maid found dead

A maid, Sunita, 18, was found dead at her employer's house at Jubilee Hills under suspicious circumstances on Saturday. A native of Nalgonda, Sunita had been working at a doctor's house for some time. This morning she was found dead in the kitchen. No external injuries were found on the body. The body was shifted to Gandhi hospital. The Jubilee Hills police are investigating.

Woman poisons son, self

A housewife, A. Yadamma (27), reportedly consumed poison after administering it to her eight-year-old son, Shravan, on Friday. Both were declared brought dead upon arrival at the hospital.

According to the police, Yadamma's husband, Balraj Goud, had been reportedly harassing her for dowry. The Kandukur police registered a case.

Two found dead

A steward working in a bar at Mumbai, Santosh.G. Shetty (22) was found dead in a lodge at Nampally on Friday. A native of Mangalore, he reportedly hanged himself with telephone wire.

In another case, 34-year-old G. Arun Kumar was found dead in a hotel room at Kachiguda on Saturday. The body was in a decomposed state. It was learnt that he was into fertilizer business. The police suspect that he might have ended his life by consuming poison. His relatives told the police that Arun Kumar was in severe financial crisis.

Pirated CDs seized

Sleuths of the South Zone Task Force and representatives of the Indian Music Industry (IMI) raided a video parlour in Lad Bazaar area on Saturday and arrested its owner, Nizar Rajabali Bharwani (30), and recorded a haul of over 200 pirated video CDs and MP3 CDs from his shop.
