State to revise school syllabus

HYDERABAD: The State Government will revise the school education syllabus in tune with the National Educational Policy framed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

The School Education Minister, Nedurumalli Rajyalakshmi, said on Sunday that the revision would be made after initiating a State-level discussion involving intellectuals, academics, parents, teachers and students. The process has already started and the revised syllabus will be implemented from the academic year 2006-07.
