CHENNAI: Schawk, a U.S.-based brand imaging solutions provider, and the Chennai-based RKKR group have entered into a joint venture agreement to set up a graphic services outsourcing company here. The venture will be named Schawk India with 50:50 partnership. Addressing presspersons here, the president and Chief Executive Officer, Schawk Inc., David A. Schawk, said that the company provided packaging and other services to some of the world's largest brands such as P & G, Wal-Mart, Unilever, GSK, Heinz and Kellogg's. Schawk India will be able to help large-scale retailers to sell quality packaged fast moving consumer goods. The company said that this had been successfully achieved with Wal-Mart in China. Schawk executives Ritesh Rai (Managing Director, Schawk India) and Brad Wills (Managing Director, Schawk Asia) said that the Schawk India portfolio of services would include artwork management, prepress, and print management services. In the future, an expansion into more upstream developments such as conceptual design and photography make sense as the business grows to meet the demand. The new studio will be located at the RKKR campus in Chennai. This facility answers the market's need for scalable and cost-effective professional brand imaging services and solutions of the highest quality.
