ERODE: Members of the Erode Press Club on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the Collector, D. Karthikeyan, stating that a photographer of the Tamil daily, "Kalaikadir", was manhandled by an official. They alleged that the photographer Saravanan was attacked while engaged in taking photograph on the construction of a bridge across the Kalingarayan canal in Periya Agraharam area, two days back, by the site Assistant Engineer, PWD, Murugesan, and demanded action against the official.
The Collector assured that he would do the needful. The Press Club representatives also submitted a petition to the SP, P. Balasubramanian.
