PONDICHERRY: The Pondicherry Farm Workers union affiliated to the CPI has called upon the Centre to bring in without delay a comprehensive legislation to protect the welfare of the farm labourers. A resolution adopted at a meeting of the Union here on Tuesday said that the national rural employment guarantee scheme should be implemented without any lapse and the legislation for hike in minimum wages for workers should also be enforced forthwith.
