PALAKKAD: The Kottekkad branch of the Punjab National Bank organised a farmers' meet here on Tuesday as part of the silver jubilee of the branch. As part of the celebrations, 14 women self-help groups were given financial assistance to start new ventures. Locker facility was also opened at the branch. The function was inaugurated by Malampuzha Block Panchayat president K. Karthikeyan. Regional manager of the bank R.S. Pillai presided.
