Visakhapatnam was being projected as an ideal destination for investors in the State. after Hyderabad due to the proactive policies of Dr. Reddy, he pointed out. The Congress leader failed to give convincing replies on the inordinate delay in completing the Godavari water diversion project. "We are trying to solve the problem and our MLAs are competent to reply," was his repeated answer when he was asked to comment on the resentment over the failure to bring the Godavari water this summer. On the demolitions carried out by the Municipal Corporation in the Siva Sankar Rajakula Colony and the alleged involvement of Visakha-II MLA behind the forcible eviction of several families from the area, he said he would talk to the MLA to find out the truth. Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the Congress would also take out the yatra in the Siva Sankar Colony and appealed to the Opposition parties not to politicise the issue.
